About Barbara Jaurequi

Barbara Jaurequi, MS, LMFT, MAC is a California based psychotherapist, author, business consultant and professional speaker. Her private counseling practice is located in Rancho Cucamonga, about 30 miles east of Los Angeles.

Ms. Jaurequi is the author of A.C.E.S. – Adult-Child Entitlement Syndrome which teaches parents how to compassionately launch their adult-children into the world of personal responsibility once and for all! Her articles have been published in dozens of high profile industry magazines and newspapers including Golfdom, Supervision Magazine, Windsor Business and CEO Magazine which has retained her as a regular blogger for their online publication. An energetic and compelling lecturer, Ms. Jaurequi speaks on a variety of professional and personal topics. She designs and conducts tailored workshops for special interest groups and for companies of all sizes. She is a former Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Mount St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles. Ms. Jaurequi currently owns and operates her successful private counseling practice, Barbara Jaurequi Counseling in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

Before beginning her career in the field of psychology, Ms. Jaurequi spent a dozen years in corporate America.  The bulk of her experience in business took place in New York City where she worked for top investment banking firms including Goldman Sachs, Bear Stearns, and Merrill Lynch World Headquarters prior to its merger with Bank of America.  Reporting directly to senior leaders including vice presidents, managing directors and directors, Ms. Jaurequi had the opportunity to learn about the challenges managers of all levels face first hand.

Ms. Jaurequi’s work as a business consultant combines her background in business with her love for psychology.  She enthusiastically offers her experience and expertise in relationship counseling to business leaders and workers at all levels. Her direct and perceptive style, along with her relatability and likability make her a good fit for organizations looking to improve interpersonal functioning in the workplace.
